This weekend, I finished my first quilt. It wasn’t that bad. I know that piecing isn’t my strong suit, so I stuck to applique. I don’t even have quilting feet on my The design was inspired by a ceramic piece my grandmother made for me when I was little. I’ve been meaning to make a quilt version for awhile, so when The Quilting Bee in Camden, TN advertised a Christmas Quilt Contest I got right to work.

 

The contest was to make a 36X36 wall hanging using 5 fat quarter pieces that were supplied by the Quilting Bee with the theme “A Peaceful Christmas”.  The design was entirely made by me.
